Unsolved riddles of physics: New insights and new understanding of
reality.
Our
understanding of physical reality is in continual evolution. Large parts
of modern physical insight are not yet popular knowledge. And the
science itself is in continuous development.
The new understanding of reality
we owe to the physics of the 20th century is based on
relativity theory and quantum theory. According to quantum theory
physical reality appears as both particles and waves. Particles and
waves are equally real and complementary aspects of reality we observe
depending on what types of experiments we perform. Both quantum theory
and relativity theory are to day solidly confirmed and accepted as
fundamental to our understanding of physical reality. It has, however,
proved to be very difficult to combine them into a unified physical
theory. We are accordingly not yet at the final end in our endeavour to
fully understand physical reality. Central questions we ask concerning
our relation to reality are as yet open and can not be answered in a
definite way. Possibly somebody has already found answers to some of
these questions. We wish to present some interesting developments that
are as yet not generally known, but may be of great significance.
